We are proud to announce the Economics and Management School of Wuhan University (WHU EMS) has been awarded EQUIS five-year re-accreditation by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). This achievement represents the highest level of international recognition for our school's educational quality. Our school has acquired EQUIS initial accreditation in 2016 and gone through three rounds of EQUIS re-accreditation. The five-year EQUIS re-accreditation indicates that our school stands among the leading business schools in the world with high-quality business education recognized by international authorities.

The EQUIS accreditation, globally recognized as the gold standard for business school quality, evaluates institutions against rigorous international benchmarks in governance, programs, faculty quality, research output, along with special emphasis on internationalization, ethics, corporate engagement, and sustainability. Since initiating its international accreditation journey in 2010, WHU EMS has successively earned the "Triple Crown" of global business education accreditations, AMBA, EQUIS, and AACSB, placing it among an elite group of business schools worldwide.

From March 4 to 6, 2025, an EQUIS peer review team, led by Professor Peter Møllgaard (President of Copenhagen Business School, Denmark), conducted comprehensive on-site evaluation at our school. The panel included Professor Caitlin Byrne (Pro Vice Chancellor, Griffith University, Australia), Professor Wei Gu (Dean of the School of Economics and Management, University of Science and Technology Beijing) and Mr. Jacques Delplancq (Former Deputy General Manager, IBM France). Through 16 sessions of in-depth interviews with university leaders, faculty members, students, alumni and corporate partners, the review team thoroughly assessed WHU EMS’s achievements in talent cultivation, discipline development, faculty excellence, social impact, industry collaboration, executive education and global engagement. This accomplishment reflects the world-class standards we maintain in teaching, research, and societal impact, and serves as a testament to the dedication of our entire community - faculty, staff, students, alumni and stakeholders.
Looking ahead, WHU EMS will further refine governance, enhance academic quality and strengthen global partnerships. We will continue to contribute valuable insights and innovative solutions to advance international business education, building on our reputation for excellence in the years to come.
